Visitors can enjoy an extraordinary experience with Starbucks coffee at the Botanical café, which is surrounded by flowers and greenery in a space bathed in sunlight. For the first time in Japan, STARBUCKS signage is represented by real plants. This is a first in Japan, but it exists in other countries. However, Japanese craftsmen have paid attention to every detail, so you can enjoy a unique Japanese space. This café is a space surrounded by flowers, greenery, and aquatic tribes, with the pleasant sound of water echoing through the space, creating a strange illusion that makes you wonder if you are in a forest or swimming in a river, and you can feel a “new café experience” with the view that changes depending on where you sit.
The designers incorporated the habit of people who naturally want to gather by the water or under a tree into the design, and placed a distinctive symbolic tree and a water basin in the center of the café area. The seating area is laid out so that ripples spread out from the central area, creating a space that can only be experienced here.
The aquarium and planted area are fused together to create the image of an aquarium that seems to ooze into the space. By feeling the “sound,” “movement,” and “1/f fluctuation” created by the water while surrounded by beautiful plants, visitors will look forward to finding their own place and will want to come back. The facility is also friendly to the auditory sense. At night, the aquarium’s lighting becomes more prominent, creating a fantastic scene, and the aquarium is almost completely devoid of fish.
