Hey, is everyone on an intellectual quest?
My sons love dinosaurs.
They want to meet dinosaurs.
Then let’s go see him.
So I went to the National Museum of Nature and Science store!!!!
Have you ever been to a museum in the first place?
I’ve never been and this was my first time there and I really enjoyed it.
I wish I could tell you, as you read this, and my childhood self.
Aren’t dinosaurs huge?
Bugs are gross.
I want to go to space~!
If you think so, you’re sorely mistaken.
Dinosaurs were bigger than I thought, they had fangs and big mouths, so just looking at their bones was intimidating enough!
I had heard that golden worms were beautiful, but I didn’t know that each one was as colorful as a jewel!
Japan’s space development started with a pencil rocket in 1955! Experiments started with “I want to go to space”, but now it’s evolving into “How can we live in space?”. Science is so amazing.
There’s a Japanese proverb that says, “A hundred eyes are worth a thousand words,” and I think that’s exactly what this means.
※The phrase means that it is more important to see something with your own eyes once than to hear it many times.
- Normal Exhibition
Here are the various parts of the exhibit.
There are so many exhibits that it may take half a day to see them all.
Check the translated map on the official website and make a list of places you want to visit!
If you have small children, the Earth Hall may be easier to see!

- Parents and Children’s Exploration Plaza compass
This is an exhibit that parents and children can enjoy together.
Although there are age restrictions and a separate entrance fee, this is an especially recommended room.
There is a set time to enter, but the limited admission allows you to watch and play with the taxidermy without crowds.
- Mousseion National Science Museum Store
The restaurant serves a heartbreakingly cute original museum menu.
Isn’t this Jurassic Burger Plate so cute, I want to hang it on my front porch.
The menu looks like it changes often, so I look forward to it every time.
You can also check out the restaurant’s fossils while you eat – you’ll be amazed!
- Museum Store
You can buy not only biscuits, chocolates, dolls, and other oddities, but also fossils and ores !!!! I’ve never heard of a souvenir shop where you can buy both memories and romance.
My personal favorite is the “Fossil Pick”, which contains a real fossil for 300 yen!
There are dinosaur bones, ammonites, amber, fun items, and maybe even a rare cangolin bone!

Afterwards, I bought the kids some space food they wanted to eat.
I never knew museums could be so much fun!
For your information, there is also an annual pass.
Their annual passport gives you unlimited access to regular exhibitions at three facilities – the Tsukuba Experimental Botanical Garden, the Nature Education Center, and the National Science Museum – for one year.
And
Discounts on special exhibitions at the National Museum of Nature and Science.
Discounts at restaurants inside the National Science Museum (Mushion, Ueno Honkan Cafe (some restaurants excluded)).
Discounts at the Tsukuba Botanical Garden, Nature Education Center, and Museum Shop within the National Science Center (some items are not eligible).
This is an additional benefit. Amazing.
A regular ticket costs 630 yen, and an annual pass with various discounts costs 1,500 yen.
The discounts and low prices have already gone through your head, so there’s no time to be surprised anymore.
If you visit the museum more than three times, the annual pass is a steal!
A picture is worth a thousand words, visit the National Museum of Natural Sciences!
The reason I keep saying a picture is worth a thousand words is because it’s the only proverb I know!!!!
